Laurel and Hardy's March of the Wooden Soldiers
I agree with Talesin on the 51 version of the A Christmas Carol. Everything after thas was mediocre at best till the Patrick Stewart version came a long.
now theres, sound of music, its a wonderful life, philadelphia story, the great esacape... what else though?.

this is not the actual photo of the sign and the article writer is the one making most of the racist remarks in an attempt to reveal the stupidity here:.
from: http://jezebel.com/5868076/woman-still-doesnt-understand-why-her-white-only-swimming-pool-is-racist.
woman still doesnt understand why her white only swimming pool is racistan ohio landlord who posted a "white only" sign outside her property's swimming pool is requesting that the state reconsider its ruling.
This reminds me of a story told Grouch Marx about when he was at the pool of a country club and was inform that Jews weren't allowed in the pool. He asked if his daughter could go in up to her waist seeing as she was only half Jewish.
I remember when I was in the eighth grade and learned that in the South black people weren't allow to drink out of the same drinking fountains as whites. I had trouble believing it wasn't just a fabrication. I mean how could a whole section of the country be that mean and stupid. I guess the stupidity lives on in people like this woman.

DocBob is still around. I ran into him on facebook when I mistook him for another xjw with the same real name as him I knew back in my AOL days. He's doing fine. He's still has his website: docbob.org

Remember the Rip Tides that would take you through the Pier and you'd end up by the Cliffs.
Yes, I remember going in the water at Beach Blvd and being sucked through the pier and not being able to get out till close to Golden West.
On days like that you can see the side current moving north from your car. I trianglulate to keep my postition but I get lazy and give up and let it deposit me where it likes which is often a mile or so from where I started. I think that condition usually occures during big south swells. A few years ago I got sucked in to Ray Bay at Seal Beach. I didn't want to wind up on the Long Beach side of the jetty and have to walk back along PCH so I got off my board and tried walking thru the shallow water that was less than waste high. It must have taken me 15 min or more to travel 40 or so feet back to the jetty the water was flowing so fast. It made me realize how someone can drown in a foot or two of fast moving water.
i am a fan of anything wts hates, like smurfs and birthdays, clinking glasses in a toast, exchanging gifts on december 25th.
i have never really been the person to set new year's resolutions, but it is something wts would not like.. anyway, i used to read blondie's comments on the wt study article.
i remember how it kept me mad at wts to read such stupid stuff from them.
I know what you are saying. I very rarely if ever read anything by the WT. All it does is piss me off. I've read maybe two or three articles in the last ten years. I can hardly look at the damned things. My wife and her family are all JWs so I'm stuck with a certain amount of WT BS in my life no matter what. But read the crap...I don't dont think so.
I'll send you a PM.

I'm interested. Love to attend some Surfrider events again. Hopefully I can fit something into my work schedule. Let me know which ones you are planning on going to. Like I mentioned I was heavily involved in the Newport Beach Chapter for about 5 years and kinda miss the events. The craziest one we did was a beer tasting in Newport with the Malibu Chapter. Things went awry early on. Not the same crowd as you would get at a wine tasting.

Summer of 1965, Huntington Beach California, Beach towel laid out south side of the Pier and on comes 'Like a Rollin Stone'.
I remember that time period pretty well. As kids my friends and I would hitchhike to HB. Who knows I may been on the beach with you. We would have been some of those really obnoxious kids a few years younger checking out your girlfriends.
I don't know if you remember the market on Main St that sold the loaves hot bread with olive oil and seasoning. I think it cost a quarter. I'm still trying to remember the surf shops at that time. I remember Greek, Jacks and I think Chuck Dent.
By the way it was nice meeting you the other day. We should do it again soon.
